Uniform is available from Greggs Sports, Battle Hill, Hexham

 

 


UNIFORM

White polo shirt with school badge, short sleeved (long sleeved also available)
Royal blue round neck sweatshirt with badge
Black long trousers, short black trousers or skirt - school type only,       
(no decoration or splits – no jeans, joggers, tracksuit bottoms)
Flat black leather shoes
Black or white socks
Girls may also wear black tights, but not together with socks
Navy fleece with School Badge (optional)

PE Kit (all children wear kit for Physical Education)

Navy blue polo shirt with school badge
Navy blue shorts
Navy blue rugby shirt (optional)
Navy blue tracksuit:
 hooded track suit top with school badge on front and AMS on back
 track suit bottoms with school badge
Navy gloves and hat are also strongly recommended
Plimsolls or basic tennis shoes for indoor use
Trainers - outdoor wear
Football boots and shin pads (essential for boys, but strongly recommended
 for girls on safety grounds)
Navy socks (football type) must be worn for all outdoor lessons in autumn and spring terms.
White socks must be worn for all indoor lessons and outdoor lessons in summer term.

All uniform should be clearly named

• No jewellery, including ear-studs or sleepers
(piercing should be done at the beginning of the summer holidays)

• No make-up should be worn

• Hair should be neat, and if long, kept tied back; simple hair decoration may be worn, ie plain bobbles and slides only (preferably blue), and no braids

• An appropriate bag such as a ‘back pack’ should be used to carry school materials, text books and exercise books.  Please note, ‘fashion bags’ are not appropriate.

• Money: only a small amount of money should be brought to school; it should be kept in a named purse, wallet or similar item, and should be kept on the person

• Mobile phones:  if you feel that these are essential for the health and safety of your child, they may be brought in.  (Please write to your child’s form mentor if this is the case).

However, please note that:

 School takes no responsibility for these items
 They must NOT be used in school unless with the express permission of a member of staff
 The reasons for not having mobiles in school are manifold – pupils taking inappropriate photos around school of themselves, other pupils or staff, pupils texting each other, phones ringing in lessons and pupils ringing home for inappropriate reasons.

• Valuables such as MP3 players and electronic games must not be brought into school

• Anything that may be used as a weapon must not be brought into school

• As is policy in all schools in Northumberland, cigarettes, alcohol or drugs may not be brought onto the premises this includes associated paraphernalia (e.g. matches, lighters)
